Women Who Know Their Place

Apologies for my long absence .....again !  Thanks to the luvvlies who asked after me - especially Prism and Gbemi. I really appreciate this......(If I ommitted your name, I owe you lunch *smile) !

To get things started, here's an old joke I heard again today:

Women who Know Their Place:

Barbara Walters, of 20/20, did a story on gender roles in Kabul, Afghanistan , several years before the Afghan conflict.

She noted that women customarily walked five paces behind their husbands.

She recently returned to Kabul and observed that women still walk behind their husbands. Despite the overthrow of the oppressive Taliban regime, the women now seem happy to maintain the old custom.

Ms Walters approached one of the Afghani women and asked, 'Why do you now seem happy with an old custom that you once tried so desperately to change?'

The woman looked Ms Walters straight in the eyes, and without hesitation said, “LAND MINES !”

LOL. I'll be back soon..... Do have a good week xoxoxoxox

  6. Hahahahahahahaha, up women! who say we no get sense!.....just like how women in rural areas prefer to go down the streams to fetch water rather than the communal bore hole installed for them, which later got spoilt. when asked why, they said on the way to the stream, they have time to discuss their marital problem with other women and have some private time for themselves, unlike when the pump was working and their hubby would be sending them errands because they are at home early from the farm or market! :D
